"no man can live as an island" goes an old adage. it indeed true to hundred percentage. for, we all try to live on our own yet we depend upon the others for we cannot but do.
Today seeking meaning in life is a common phenomenon that we all come across. Now it is sought in things, gadgets, celebrities, movies, sports, drinks, music, business and what not. Thus we have reached a state where meaning is to be found very instantly and immediately. The picture aptly depicts the attitude of today’s new generation where meaning is to be found totally out side the self and end up terribly disappointed, discouraged and disgusted. Some prominent examples can be that of Michael Jackson, Whiney Houston, Marilyn Monroe and Tiger Woods etc. What was missing in their life? What could be the reason why they failed to strike the balance between life/career and meaning? In this multimedia era finding meaning is very crucial and challenging. In this context Victor Frankel is one person who inspires me with his life; in spite of struggles he lived his life with a purpose. Namakaranam and Annaprasana: In Telugu Hindu culture and tradition the naming ceremony of a baby is usually celebrated on the same day of the anna prasana (feeding the bay solid food for the first time). Cultural Reasons and Understanding: This sanskar/ tradition/ ceremony is performed on or after the sixth or seventh month as per the gender of the child, sixth or seven months for the boy child and odd months for the girl child. This ritualistic ceremony initiates the introduction of solid food for the baby. When the baby gets solid food for the first time, Mantras are recited and pujas are offered to the various deities. It is believed that, with Annaprasana , the flaws that arise due to intake of impure food when as a foetus are removed. It is also believed that Annaprasana ceremony will help to propitiate speech. The meaning of Annaprasana is anna =rice and prasana = to enter. Annaprasana is done after the Namakaran ceremony. The baby is given rice kheer or payasam...

Such teachers do come into our student life who paradoxically inspire by their despair. Strange but true. But to reach to this aptitude one requires an open mind and heart to accept the things that they cannot change but change one self instead. However, what I want to say is that today during two hours of class we experienced such poor and pathetic performance of a professor who only talked and taught nothing. Plenty of words bla bla bla....I just had a look around the class that was packed with students but then, most of them were all like as if suffocated and some constipated and still worse few were indifferent catching th...
